The Genesis of Excellence
AVM Garden Theatre was conceived by AVM K. Shanmugam, who transformed unused equipment from AVMG Theatre into a new dubbing studio in the garden.
The studio quickly became a hub for major Tamil films, beginning with Mayuri, and soon top directors like Shankar and Mani Ratnam worked there.
It also launched several first-time filmmakers, becoming a lucky and iconic space in Tamil cinema.
